Which countries do not generate sales?

Hi,

I'd like to do an inventory of which countries are almost always bandwidth drains and do not generate substantial sales.

For example, I get a lot of traffic from china but has anyone actually converted traffic from china to sales? With the criminal penalties related to online adult entertainment and the generally oppressive environment, can one ever make a sale to china?

Rather than listing which countries do best (this varies with your audience), I'd like to focus on the 'guaranteed' no-sale countries and also those which regional traffic you have found to be more malicious than worthwhile.

you can basically kiss off china, korea, PI, indonesia, most of eastern europe, africa, south america.

good:

usa, western europe, aus, japan, canada

choose your host wisely, with high speed and low hops to these regions.

Send it to my sites.. We convert the Japanese like crazy..

Same with Korean traffic, but CHinese traffic is by far the worst on the planet, they just TRY to hotlink to our FHG's..

With hosting so cheap these days I don't want to block anybody. I have converted, but at very low rates:

Saudia Arabia
South Korea
Isreael
Poland

and many others. In the years to come I think after the U.S. and Western Europe the rest of the world will discover porn too.

the problem with east europe countries is that there is small amount of people with credit cards that will pay for online porn

an example

for polish porn traffic I can bet that about 60% (or even more) of surfers are 20 years old or younger - so probably no credit card at all

Yeah. Anything chinese fucking sucks. I got a word list together for various terms(melayu, bogel, etc) and do global search and remove on all generated pages for them.

Thanks everyone for the great feedback!

I sold quite a memberships to Japan.

Even a few to South Korea.

Verotel offers Asian Card which is what South Korea uses.

I agree that most eastern blocks are a complete writeoff. Excluding Japan and South Korea, the rest of asia is a waste of bandwidth.

For my themes, my best members come from:

Germany, Denmark, UK, Australia, Canada, US, New Zealand, Finland, Sweden, Switzerland, France.

Brasil has a small amount of friendly traffic - but for the most part they're one small step down from russian hackers.

My bandwidth costs are 5 times what it costs in the US and the expense of servicing traffic which will probably never convert is significant.

Does anyone route their traffic differently for different geographic sources?

u can customize what countries you want to re-direct and not touch the 'good' traffic

lots of major players are using it, I will walk you through it

Hi, thanks for the invite - I'll hook up with you sometime soon.

All of my web pages are aware of the countries from which the visitors are arriving, but the risk/danger of blatently redirecting traffic for certain locations is that one is stepping onto thin ice with the search engines.

Doing so could be construed as a form of cloaking which I never do.

The best solution that works for me is to use my dynamic banners and links to lead them out to a different area without really changing the core content of the page.

Human nature, being what it is, makes it pretty easy to offer an 'exit stage right' which gets hit every time it's put up.

1) As I understand, the Chinese government has serious penalties related to adult sites (jailtime and up to life sentences for webmasters).

2) They may have the golden arches in China, but the average worker does not enjoy the excesses we do in North America and the rest of the world because we do it much at their expense.

Case in point - go to any big box store and tally up the ratio of domestic products to imports from China and look at the prices. For us to drop 30 bucks on a signup or two is no biggie - for them, it still is. The question is, will it always be?

On that note, have we given up on China as a market for adult entertainment subscriptions?

Are we waiting for something to happen? Or, are we already closing down the borders?

What do you all think?

because most of the brazilians doesn't have international credit cards... but brazilian sites with local billing converts
