Arafat Collapses As His Health Worsens
As much as I hate to say it, I'm actually glad he's dying. He's been one of the major road blocks to building peace in the middle east. He's not the only road block, of course, but he's one of the major ones. Every time a peace plan gets hammered out, he talks a bunch of people into going into Israel to blow some people up. Then Israel retaliates with tanks and missiles and it takes a while to get back to the peace talks again.
When this guy dies, the world will be better off. This guy is just about the only thing standing in the way of a Palestinian state, because nothing is acceptable short of Palestine being established in place of Israel and that's simply not going to happen. His people just want a legitimate state to live in and to be left alone, but he fucks that up at every turn and people die for it.
