most of the ones under $1,000 suck... and that's when they are working correctly. Custom is the only way to go... last quote I got for what I wanted was mimimum $10K... but similar jobs got multiple bids under $500 on freelance sites... so buyer beware.
but I'm in no hurry to develop my own dating sites on my domains (Curious.com, Companionship.com, etc).
