    What Do You Think?

    I have been approached by a company who has fairly deep pockets and an extensive marketing background, primarily in infomercials - most notably Billy Blanks, in promoting erotic figurines. They have exclusive worldwide rights for the exception of Japan where they sell like hotcakes. These Samurai bondage figurines have some history behind them. This company can also do custom figurines to include various adult stars depending on licensing agreements. Anyhow, tell me if you feel these are a hit or miss tangible product.

          That's a tough call. Most figurine collecters have shelves full of poodles and butterflies. This would be a purely novelty item in the US I would think. It's one of those things that could surprise you and end up on all the news channels and have everyone talking about it, or it could be a complete flop.

              They will sell if the price is right, I don't see people paying too much for em just to hide in a shoebox because fam/friends/kids are around. Remember open sexuality is still a no no in society. You will probably have to target a more open sexual audience or people who collect figs.

              I'm sure it will grab some media attention, but for all the wrong reasons. For me personally, I would move foward with it "just because I can" but if it required ALOT of risk and effort I would probably let it sit and avoid spending too much to market in the US. Elsewhere where regulations and sexuality is more open, you have a winner.

                                                  Hrm...I'm not really sure. Most collectors of that type of stuff are women and I'm not sure that market would get into that type of stuff. They are more into things like Hummels etc.

                                                  It might end up as a unique gag gift sort of thing if the price is right. Who knows, it is worth a shot.
