High-level administration officials admitted Tuesday that the Bush administration knew about the hurricaine season in Florida,but did not order an evacuation of the state.
Stratagists for the Kerry campaign were quick to point to the facts:
"If the president had evacuated the entire state of Florida there would have been over 30 lives saved, but he did nothing."
"Bush was fully aware that the hurricaine season would mean that there was a risk to all Florida residents, but since there was no federal evacuation order, he was obviously trying to disenfranchise those voters who now are unable to vote for Kerry!"
"Bush never asked the UN for help during the hurricaine crisis, if he had, there would never have been this many problems"
"Bush was so busy fighting the war in Iraq, he had less resources. Kerry would have lined up all the the jets in the U.S. Air Force to use their engines to push the hurricaines away from the coast!"
