StarTrek will not be revived until some original writer(s) start to take it seriously.
You have stargate (8 to 9 seasons) and battlestar not too mention all the other sci-fi series who have a great writing team and idea. Enterprise started to come out of the gate well - but sadly they simply cost too much to do.
