    Can you please tell me what I need to setup wireless internet for my laptop?

    So I can connect to open networks around town wherever I am? Thank you.

          Either a wireless card or a wireless ready laptop. If you wanna hook up at starbucks you also need a t-mobile subscription.

              1- a laptop .... lol
              2- wireless G card
              3- find the hotspot.

                          Specifically I want to connect to the internet with my laptop from my car. I dont go to starbucks Im a dunkin donuts boston guy. So I'll chill with my friends in the parking lots. Its like a big hangout. I bet there are some open networks around there. My laptop is an HP from 2003 its not wireless ready So I will need a wireless card? What else do I need?

                                      do your homework to make sure whatever wifi card you get supports your netstumbler app of choice.
