    So my ex just fucked with my credit...

    she called and cancelled a very good standing credit line on my credit report since she was the secondary account holder. she did this without even consulting me.

    she said she had to because of her divorce proceedings. i'm so pissed that i'm about to contact her ex-husband and inform him that she was unfaithful to him during their engagement. should I??

    i normally wouldnt do this but she had really fucked me over in the past (had me arrested & beat by 8 cops, stole my motorcyle, etc.) & i made up with her then started fucking her while she was engaged to specifically to hold something over her in the future should she fuck with me again.

    this seems like a perfect opportunity to break it out. should I?

    call me a bastard if you will... you still don't know the whole story of what this girl put me through.

                                                          If you were divorced at the time she did this you can take legal action against her. same thing happened to a friend of mine, his wife ran up an $1800.00 bill on a credit line they had when they were married and he had forgotten to remove her, he took her to court and the judge ruled in his favor, even though it was his fault he forgot to remove her they still made her pay back the debt.

                                                          You should seek legal counsel on it.


                                                          EDIT: I read your post wrong I suppose, you werent married to her but you had credit with her? not sure about that, I would still seek legal counsel.

                                                                                  "tradeline requirements" when you go apply for more loans in future . It will only drop your score if that particular tradeline was much higher in balance than your other ones...
                                                                                  also, if the balance of the tradeline was over 50pct of available credit, it actually might up your score, believe it or not.

                                                                                  Banks like all tradelines at 48pct.

                                                                                  for example, "Fannie Mae" (home purchase) guideline for any A-paper loan is 4 tradelines. You need score of 620 or above to even try to get qualified. I dont think it matters that much when it comes to cars and cards..

                                                                                  you are tripping waaaay too much over 1 tradeline.

The only way for her to get off the account was to close it and you have to open another account in your name only. She was protecting herself against you running up a large bill and her being legally responsible for it.

                                                                                                              Any lawyer would have given her advice to do this. I didn't and I got hammered for an over $17K AMX bill from my ex.

                                                                                                                      Unless you were sleeping with her *while* she was married, I don't think it would matter, as far as her divorce goes. Depending on where you live, it might not matter anyway. My state is a "no fault" divorce state, so the reasons don't matter. Everyone gets a divorce on grounds of irreconcilable differences, or something like that.

Since I had been a housewife during our marriage I had no credit and we were leaving it open so I could build some up in my name. It was a $17K lesson for me.
