Exactly.

So many Iraqis seem to be saying these days, "We are happy that Saddam is gone", but "day to day life under Saddam was much better for us than it is now", "our lives and the lives of our children are forever ruined by this war".

Too many westerners have the mistaken view of Iraqis being ignorant people - they are NOT. They are highly educated and live 'normal' lives which would shock many US citizens if they were shown more photos of hard working honest families' homes and schools and hospitals and libraries and sacred places of spiritual worship destroyed in this american-initiated attack (instead of getting repeated reruns of a couple planes flying into some tall buildings and hearing the word terrist (as pronounced by the head monkey) 50 times each day).

To blame the 'insurgents' for the misery (and 30,000 dead Iraqis) is akin to cutting all the legs from a table and blaming the fall on gravity. The US knew it would trigger a destabilizing chain when it cut the legs from under Iraq.

This was a US-lead smash and grab. The more devasted the remains of Iraq are, the better for companies which are kissing big time butt to get the contracts to 'help' rebuild the Iraq (which america has intentionally decimated).
