          Well I guess its because a woman is born with all the eggs she will ever have in her ovaries and never creates new ones during her life... whereas men constantly produce new sperm. And of course the procedure for extracting the eggs is far more complex and intrusive for a woman.

                  So complex that it took all of 4 minutes last Wed. to remove 14 eggs from my wife -- I'll give you mildly intrusive.

                      Sorry. I don't know how the actual procedure works as I've never been interested in having any of my eggs removed. I just assumed it was more intrusive because they have to go inside.

                                                          You must be talking about ICSI. Not everyone needs ICSI...

                                                          It's a shame that my boys only got to 9 out of 14 in the dish, but that's ok. Rates of birth defects are higher for ICSI patents.
