    Supreme Court > Rehnquist has Cancer

    He's one of the ultra conservative SC justices. Nixon appointed him in '72.

    This really illustrates how critical this presidential election is. The next president will undoubtley have some key SC appointments.

    Plus, like in the case of William Rehnquist, they can sit up there for many decades and have incredible judicial power over all of us and our most important national issues.

                                  This election is about the Supreme Court as much as it is about restoring our national credibility and calming the approaching storm that the neo-cons have created.


                                  When the Supreme Court has the final say about whether or not a law infringes upon our rights, do you want a pro-liberty court or an anti-liberty court? Americans still enjoy many freedoms only because of 5-4 decisions. The religious right wants to tip that balance in the other direction.
