    Canon 20D question.

Anyone use one of those Microdrives?

I use Lexar, mostly because I want to get the full (FPS) out of the camera. But I need more room and the Microdrive is a lot less expensive. A guy at my camera shop said he didn't think I would lose speed.

Anyone use one that can attest? And yes, I would be firing off fast frames...etc...

i dont use microdrive, because i dont trust something mechanical holding all my photo information.. more of a chance for failure, plus the off chance that you ever drop it and it's a done deal

        the Kingston Elite Pro 2gig 50x CF's are a good buy, so are the PQI 100x 2gig & 4gig CF's

here's a speed chart for comparision...the hitachi drives are on this too:

Microdrives suck. They eat battery a lot and are slow. Buy a databank/mp3 player with CF slot if you need more space.

Microdrives suck. Don't use them...or one day you'll loose all photos of one day of work.

DONT EVER USE THE MICRODRIVES!!!!!! you can get flash based cards so cheaply that there is no use for them anymore. Plus they are much much slower than the fast flash based cards. Do yourself a favor and stay away from them (saying from experience, very bad expereience)
