If there was no spam, they would still get traffic from SE's, TGP's whatever.

So IMO saying that if spam was stopped, then most of the big affiliate programs would go down, is kinda funny.

oh there are programs which would not survive if they weren't running major spam operations and other shit that processors still allow. very easy to spot a cockholster program. usually the program owner is hidden in the background, paid minions out in front.

spam doesn't hurt anybody, it's merely a nuisance to the spammee .... but it's still lowlife behaviour. if you had to do the equivalent in real life to make a buck, running around your neighborhood shoving pamphlets in your neighbors' mailboxes 50 times a day you'd be embarassed as hell. explain to the hot chick you are trying to date or your friends when they ask what you do for a living 'I drive around the streets stuffing peoples' mailboxes with advertising for cheesey get rich schemes and porn'. only because people can do this without being 'seen' is it done.

It doesn't matter what you think about your "ethics" the fact remains that many big programs that send checks to most everyone here would close the doors if spam died today. Just take a look at some of the top 100 affiliate lists that have been getting posted here lately and it should let you know that TGP's and SE traffic aren't where many programs get all their money.

First of all, the majority of "many" big companies income comes from spammers.

Second, I didn't name anyone or say that any company would go bankrupt.

Since you can't seem to comprehend a statement I'll make it easy....

If spam died today and some companies lost 75% of their income or more some would be inclined to close up shop. I didn't say they wouldn't be profitable, go bankrupt etc. It just wouldn't be worth the trouble to those companies anymore. Regardless of what you care to believe a huge chunk of income for more companies than I can name comes from spam. Go pay a spammer for a $1000 a week server and ask them who accepts spam and you can get your own list. I'm not calling anyone out here because personally I don't give a shit where there money / traffic comes from.

Maybe not, but those top 100 affiliate lists you are suprised by are puny in comparison to companies allowing spam. A good spammer making $40,000 a month from 1 program isn't hard to find and many make much more than that.
