waterworld takes the cake - he did ok in it but the movie sucked all the way so it took everybody down with it.
Dennis Hopper has done some amazing shit though - a real American Movie icon:
rebel without a cause, easy rider, colors, true romance, blue velvet, apocalypse now, and true grit. There's not too many people that could pull off some of the characters he has done.
