    what sort of tree is this?

    it is over by a friends house, was not sure what type of tree/cactus it was, so i took a picture with my camera phone. Asked a lady at the local nursery and she told me it looked like a johua tree, but after comparing to some pics online, i do not agree with her

    any idea? i want to pick one up

                              it does not look like a joshua tree, the spikes on the arms are consistant throught the entire brank, and a series of branches emit from the center, rather than the branches building upon each other like the joshua, and other, trees

                                                      it's the joshua tree (well, it is not relly a tree). that one in the pic is a breed that already adapt in its environment that's why it looks like that.

                                                                      Definitely a Joshua tree. Proof will be when it blooms..usually between February and April.. but not every year.
