    Test Driving a Car

Is 18 old enough if you have insurance, and a license?

18 isn't old enough to drive. Legal limit should be 21 - although that would make my daily drive to the office rather dull!

Old enough in the US, you do not need proof of insurance only a license. If it is a high end car you can probably hang it up unless you have all the cash to buy the car on you or you pull up in something high end also.

naw i bought my car when i was 19, they let me test drive shit.

in fact i didn't know how to drive a clutch and at one of the dealships they let me take a car out and beat the clutch for 15 minutes. needless to say i didn't get my car there.
