Only problem with that plan is, since one other person won you would have to split the pot, meaning that would leave you with $27.15 million. If you financed your ticket purchase that would leave you about $500k in the hole.

I never looked at it like that. When you're talking about a $300 million dollar jackpot, an expense of $27.7 million is a sure fire way to pull it off, unless as you said, every other wealthy wiseguy dumps the same amount of money in for the sure win.
