Wow, that was a great montage and great music choice.
The sad part is that what was Burning Man is about to get so commercialized it's not even funny. I've never been to BM but based on what I've seen Hal and Tas post as well as hearing from other people; it's not only an event but a religious experience. That is all going to be taken away and it will become a commercial event probably broadcast on MTV or VH1. Sad but very true.
It has already hit "mainstream" by airing on Fox's "Malcolm in the Middle" and it's just a matter of time before the whole thing is sponsored by Red Bull or Mountain Dew. Leave it to mainstream America to ruin something so sacred to so many people just to make a buck.
I could be wrong but I'm probably not.Last edited by Rob; 10-27-2005, 04:38 PM.

But they have been saying that since my first year (When a WIRED article about Burning man was published)
8 years later, it is 30,000 people larger, with lots of changes, but still tons of the magic that makes it work.
Keep in mind, it is hard to go to Burning Man. So you can't just see Malcom on re-runs and then get in your truck and go. Time will tell. And in the meantime, lots of smaller regional events have begun to bloom.
