if you have to host there, get a fuck backup server somewhere else.
It depends on where they are physically located - if they are in the Naps of America (which is where mine are) the backups never hiccuped once and the generators have deisel trucks sitting next to the them with 45 days worth of fuel and another 80 days on the way - and it houses the 24 major fiber bandwidth suppliers in the nation - so its not going down. Its the 5th Tier-1 point in the world.

Well every place has it's problems... The north east has cold/snow. Florida, hurricanes, Mid-west tornadoes, and west coast earth quakes. But it's all about being prepared for the disasters.

We do get the occasional ice storm which takes out power lines, but that's mostly Upstate.
