          Dunno, but get an I-River instead. More features, better value for money and can definitely be used as a hard drive (20gb or 40gb models)

                  i won mine over pepsi contest
                  and wanted to chop it on ebay, but i needed a usb hard drive, i guess now i do not cause i can transfer files with my 20 gig ipod

                                              Why is it better?

                                              Supports ogg format, is more robust, looks sleeker (imho) and has remote control.

                                              Don't fall victim to the Ipod hype. I don't know about the US, but here in the UK Ipod have done a great ad campaign and most people don't even know IRiver exists so go out and buy an Ipod without even realising there are other players on the market to consider.
