The counter argument:

1) Racism still exists and we live in a white-privileged society. 'Nuff said.

2) Yes, there are more poor whites than Blacks, but that is ONLY because there are MORE white people than Blacks in this country. He's not dealing with PERCENTAGES, he's dealing with NUMBERS. It's an old trick, but unfortunately it still works.

3) Blacks have NO history of enslaving whites. Extremely right-wing conservatives continue to ignore this important fact. So yes, it is "mitigating circumstances" that are the reasons for whites not getting loans or being unable to purchase homes.

4) Our past makes us who we are today. If you feel that Blacks should "get over" racism than the same argument should apply across the board. In other words, Native Americans should "get over" literal genocide. Jews should "get over" the Holocaust. Women should "get over" sexism, sexual assault and rape. Children should "get over" sexual molestation and family dysfunction. Etc.

5) The effects of affirmative action, quotas and even Black prejudice towards whites hasn't come close to having an effect and whites as white racism has had an effect on Blacks.

6) Most blacks don't blame the "white race" for their problems. This is a fact. The fact that our governemnt, politicians, leaders, teachers, doctors, etc. happen to BE white doesn't equate to hatred for whites when they are criticized in general or criticized for failure to do thier jobs. To equate the liberal or "militant, anti-white" Black crowd with the feelings of all Blacks is again ignorant. Most Blacks just want a fair shake.

7) White men, who make up more than 40% of this country's population hold more than 90& of managerial jobs in this country. How exactly are white men suffering? White men have been EVERY president, they represent 90% of our politicians, judges and our banks. White men represent 95% of the Fortune 500 list. The Top 1 percent of the rich that he mentions is 90% white men. Please show me how white men are suddenly suffering in this country!

8) Massey and other extreme right-wing conservatives like Michelle Malkin are being paid by rich white men to make the points they make. Do your research.

9) For all his ills, Bill Clinton, a former President and white man, was LOVED by most Black people. Where was the "bitter pill" all these Blacks have for whites when Clinton was in office?
