CCBill EU, ..yes, been there done that. The response I got was about as helpful to me as having an ashtray on a motorcyle.

I think I may have the solution to my problem now though. I just need confirmation from someone who has walked down this road before. I will make some more calls tomorrow...

Thanks for making it a little less lonely in here..

I would like to clarify something that may be misunderstood by people that just read the thread title

CCBill is able to currently able to process High Risk Visa transactions from 2 Visa regions, the EU and US. To be able to process Visa, both the Business and the Principle of the Business need to be located in that particular Visa region.

We are NOT currently able to process Visa transactions from entities whose principle or business resides in Canada, nor do we expect this time to come very soon. I just wanted to clarify this important point.

At this time, Businesses/Principles located anywhere around the world can process MC, Discover, JCB, online checks, and our telephone options, just not Visa.

An island? WTF? Gibraltar is a small peninsula in Spain where the Meditterrean Sea and Atlantic Ocean meet... The Straits of Gibraltar. It is a tax free English protectorate which has the full benefits of EU membership.

The principle can be a local director nominee. CCBill nor VISA needs to know since corporate secrecy laws can't be pierced.

Businesses make their own internal decisions on what they feel that they need to do with regard to their credit card processing options; we just present what the rules are and do our due diligence to reasonably satisfy us that those rules are being followed.

It was actually bait of the Spanish succession war where Holland and England both fought against French supremacy because of French claims to the Spanish throne.
They were led by the Dutch protestant king William III who ruled England and Holland at the same time at that moment.
He was married to Mary Stuart and became King of England when he chased away the catholic King Jacob, with an invasion force of only 20.000 soldiers.
This Jacob later became known as "the pretender" (of the crown).

This all happened from about 1688 to 1702 (1713)

I've always found ccbill support to be helpful, prompt and mature - they just seem to be unsure about your policies for visa, canadians, and eu llc's.

Sheesh! Some of the statements here are ... scary

Even more scary when these folks are talking about company formation and bank accounts.

Gibraltar is nowhere near Malta and Malta is not on the southern coast of Spain. It never was...

Gibraltar is an "ex colony" of the UK and is on the southern tip of Spain. Gibraltar is good for corps and the government are willing to provide "certification" that they will not charge taxes on non-resident companies for a period of 25 years.

Some conditions apply to qualify as "non resident". The most relevant part is, the corp must not have a bank account or obviously trade within Gibraltar.

With respect to Internet processing, this must clearly be a legitimate corp and have officers (they can be nominees), else there is reasonable cause for any processor to reject an account.

but have a few questions in regards to the banking arrangements ..etc.
Your corp can obviously have bank accounts anywhere in the world, but not within Gibraltar.

It's all a matter of preference and individual circumstances, tho I'd suggest you look at Latvian banks, - almost all offer the usual banking services (plastic etc) and provide "online banking".

They also provide a background which matches up to corporate secrecy laws and it is a criminal offense for a bank in Latvia to disclose client data to a third party. (This of course assumes there are no drug matters or arms dealing *s)

With banking, it is also obviously wise to not permit any nominee to have banking information - this should remain only with you. Nominees are not interested in banking arrangements - if they express interest in this - dump em :-)

Another tip... when you get your corp and a fresh Apostille and POA (Power of Attorney), - open a few banks accounts as you see fit while this paperwork is dated within six months of issue. Banks like current papers and saves bothering with updated docs at a future time.

The people at gibraltaroffshore.com are good with info - if you have questions, fire them all there first and get a "scenario" in your mind :-)

Remember the principle on your CCBill account would also have to be located in Gibraltar. It may have been just registering a company at one time, but now Visa wants the company & a principle.

                                                  Correct!

Another "small detail" to take into account!

That's where some cooperation with a nominee is useful.
