When the price of oil is where its at now all the Texas oil men can make money off domestic exploration and production as well.
The world demand for oil is 82 million barrels per day. There are 42 gallons per barrel.
So the oil producers are taking in $4.5 Billion per day with these jacked prices.
And the oil sellers are generating $8.6 million a day at the pump selling 3.4 billion gallaons of gas a day.
The Arabs, the Texans, the Russians, the Mexicans, and all the other oil wealthy countries are loving this all the way to the bank.

KRL beat me to the reply but let me add that gas in SUBSIDIZED In Iraq. When the USA took over they could not remove the subsidy due to the fact it would create havoc with a society where the wages are much lower than in other countries without subsidies.
