        Most of the dot com bombs were pretty nice domains too. I think that era showed that sites with any overhead that make their money soley from advertising is a disaster. So it will be interesting how it plays out.

There are way bigger guys in the domain biz then me. So everyone should go idolize them. Some of these big players have tens of thousands of domains.

                                                                                                I just try to offer advice and wisdom to you guys, cause I've been through the trenches. I've learned a lot the hard way from being in a pioneering spot often with new trends. I believe in giving back and helping others achieve. Some people I've helped over the years have surpassed me. That's awesome to me. I love seeing young guys reaching incredible heights.

This is very true. I didn't like the results and I had to go out and get other people and will keep doing that if necessary until I'm satisfied and the corporate advertisers
                                                                                                                            are happy as can be.

                                                                                                                            And honestly, I'm not kidding when I say that it is already doing advertising sales. The ads are for the upcoming issues obviously just like any magazine.

But I've been on the buying end of the ad game for a long time. I never liked paying for ads so far in advance, but you have to if you want to lock in good spots.

                                                                                                                                                And I can see clearly and have learned the techniques guys like Larry Flynt, Hefner, and the others used to make money from the publishing business.
                                                                                                                                                Last time I checked they were made 3 months in advance, so you had to pay now for 3 months and then wait 3 months to see your ad. Not knowing if it will flop or succeed was the bad part...cause if it did good and you didn't pay for 3 months of advertising....you'd have to wait another 3 months to place your ad again, but if it did good, then you have just enough time to place another one that will be showing when your last ad is finished. Sucks, but it is the way it is. Better to pay for 4 months, that way you have a whole month to find out if it works =)
