...sure, i would also suggest you to read Kant and the Platypus: Essays on Language and Cognition, or even better, Semiotics and the Philosophy of Language (Advances in Semiotics (Paperback)) , let's be serious here ppl, we cannot compare apples with oranges, if all you got from Foucault's Pendulum it's the ideea to compare it with The Da Vinci Code.... you are the best example for Eco's Semiotics theory....stuck at the first level of interpretation....

didn't anyone find it odd that some of the greatest truth seekers in history were hiding a 2000 year old truth? a good read until the end.

I'm just pointing out the fact that without Eco's Book, Dan Brown would have probably never had the idea of writing the Da Vinci Code ... that's it

...right on the spot here, but it's not about the Pendulum, it's about Semiotics, more precisely about The Name of The Rose, the first novel that Eco wrote as an example of his Semiotics Theory applied in "mundane" books, a nice invention that permits a writer to write for ALL the tastes, the First Lever readers, as Eco teaches, will be happy to read the "crimes and cops" story, but the most elevated readers, those who won't buy Stephen King for instance, have theyr share of art, philosophy, and so on...

Reading Angels & Demons now which is the prequel to DVC. I'll read DVC after I'm done.

                    Pretty interesting...

I haven't read it, and from the reviews I've read and all the rebuttal books written, I have no desire to read it. From what I can tell, it's old, lame BS.

The Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons are both good books. Deception Point and Digital Fortress are ok as well. but Eco's works are still the best

Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60. Let me repeat... A 120 x 60 button and no more that 3 lines of DEFAULT SIZE AND COLOR text.
