Yeah, I ended up making the mistake of seeing it in the theatures, it's a loooong, dragged out flick that seems to keep going.

I'll admit that the last battle scene with the elephants kicked ass though

Troy: good action, abysmally shitty basis in fact, even worse plot.
Alexander: lacking in action, "ok" basis in fact, decent plot.

yeah pretty boring.. you'd think it would be hard to make a sword and sandal epic a big yawn but they've managed to... Kingdom of heaven too.. the fuking worst part is movie execs will start going "the money has gone out of historical epics" and stop doing them.. when really it's just because they've churned out shite. For fucks sake.. it's 1000's of guys warring.. how the fuck can they make them so boorrrriiinggg? they make Troy look like a masterpiece.

I agree Alexander is a pile of confused steaming turd. 3 odd hours of my life I've lost. I can normally find good things in films no matter how bad they are, but this one drew a blank.

Troy was good though. Very interesting characters.

They needed to pick either period music or rock music for the soundtrack, not both. If you like political period movies, I highly recommend Titus.

Terrible directing and screenplay
Angelina Jolie sounded like a "vampiress" from Halloween!
