I'm a month into this biz and I'm starting to worry about one thing: Getting people to come to my site! I've dabbled in PPC (adwords) and it's nice if I'm driving people straight to one of my sponsors sites, as conversions are generally 1:200 on average and sometimes better on a good day. I DO make a profit of about double what I spend but I feel like i'm limiting myself.

I have a background in web design and am putting the finishing touches on an anime/hentai site. I just don't know how in the hell to get cheap traffic. SE optimization is pretty much worthless now, as it is near impossible to get a top 10 listing.

Im fluent in getting traffic to a mainstream site as I run two of those. (site in my sig, build an email list, advertise the business on PCC, etc.) But adult totally baffles me.

Are you guys that are generating 500+ visitors a day paying for your traffic? I'm willing to do that, but there are soooo many traffic brokers out there that just love to scam people.

I'd love to get into adult, but if it fails..I can fall back on my mainstream sites.

But sad thing is that 50% of those who bash them, are also newbies, just with a high postcount.

Hey, I pretty much assume that a few people will come in here and tear me apart, as to why I tried to make my post sound like I knew what the hell I was talking about.

Like I said..I've done mainstream and am new to the adult industry. Everyone is a noob at some point. I figured that the asshole are far outweighed by people who are actually willing to help a brother out.

steve, you can win at the adwords game if you play it right. Hell, if anyone wants a few pointers in that area ill glady help you out.

Remember, you CAN lose your shirt if you're not careful. But for every $10 I spend I pull in $20-25. Its nice and all, but adwords is getting saturated...so you must play it smart.

What kind of site are you running? Is it a pay site, TGP, etc?

500 hits is nothing if it's a TGP but can make you a bit of cash if it's a pay/AVS site. TGP trading can be frustrating and most people fail at it, but it's really not as hard as it seems.

As for a pay site you may want to start your own affiliate program if it converts good.

Careful, it's not adwords. Adult traffic from brokers rarely converts. If anyone I would go to www.adulttrafficgenerator.com and get his clicked niche traffic. He can't send as much as other brokers but it is QUALITY. If you have questions ICQ him first too I'm sure he can help you get some ROI out of your site.

Edit: Another quality one I've used is www.fpcclicks.com they also use their own network to generate traffic. It's a small amount but it's great and very reasonably priced. There's also some good packages that allow exits so it's easy to cover your loss if your initial site doesn't convert.

I guess you could call it a TGP. But not exactly. It's basically a hentai site for the people who sick of the shit that they have to go through for just 5 pics.

Ill be relying mainly on advertising my sponsors...but in a fresh way. I'll post the url in my sig once the site goes live. I'm not sure exactly how it is going to do, I consider it my $6.95 experiment. (I love Godaddy.)

We see the same stuff every single day in adult...I'm going to go the opposite direction almost. We shall see.

cluck, fpcclicks looks pretty solid. $6 per 1,000 doesnt seem too bad if I promote something fairly unique. (IE: not just teens)

1 signup would net a $24 profit, and the visits arent blind, looks good. Ill report back with my results.

I think you should think again about doing SE optimization for your sites, especially if it's a free site. There are many people that will bash me for this, but from my experience SE traffic is the best traffic in my opinion. Also, it may take awhile but if you work hard at getting listed at least on the frontpage of a search engine it is well worth it. Adding this to your list of ways to get traffic will benefit you, but it does take time.

I have just had horrible luck with SE optimization...to the point where I said "the hell with it." I KNOW it provides good results (I get about 150-200 clicks a day on one of my mainstreme sites and im listed on the 3rd page.)

But it's just so restrictive trying to make a site that the SE's will like.

If you're making sales sending straight to the sponsor, have you ever tried filtering the traffic a little more?

I used to send my traffic from freesites/galleries straight to the sponsor... then I made a page focusing on the sponsor but offering a couple other options as well.

I didn't notice a decrease in ratio to the sponsor I used to send straight to, plus I saw a couple sales to the other sites that I figure I wouldn't have normally made.

Think outside the box. There our so many things you can do to get traffic....Alot of idea's fail but the ones that succeed make up for it....then once you get the hang of it you could wake up and bring in extra 2,000 quality hits from a simple idea....
