    Anybodies windows xp tweaked after the new updates where installed?

    The prob is on both of my windows xp home computers, I get weird issues when I have a too many programs open.

    New programs won't open or some images will not show. Weird shit like that

    Anyone else or am I the only lucky one.

      you have sp2 installed?

      I had in on laptop.....slowed shit down i took it off.

                  Sounds like a RAM or paging file problem
                  Try increasing the size of the paging file

                  You can uninstall SP2 btw if you think thats the problem
                  SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.

                          I have minumum 2 and maximum 670 (a little over recomended)

                          512 ddr.

                          Does this sound right?

                          Also I show that:

                          processor and memory usage is for programs ??

                              The latest security update from Microsoft absolutely fucked my laptop computer.

                              At first after installing the update I couldn't even load Windows anymore, then after many hours I managed to fix that problem, but now my wireless networking isn't working and I can't figure out what's wrong.
                              I post on GFY so that when people ask me what I do,
                              I can tell them that I work with the mentally retarded.

                                  I am having a problem with my woreless as well. I did not DL sp2. it just stopped working.

                                  Someone mentioned that it may have something to do with spybot. do you run that as well???

                                      The two new security patches that are not sp2 that were released fucked my machine up as well. Installed them yesterday, nearly right after the reboot when I tried left clicking an icon on my desktop it would just refresh the desk top and become an endless loop. Also had a big problem with programs not responding and icons or graphics on my desktop just taking forever to reload.
                                      I restored it today and no issues.

                                          Shit I have that on here running.

                                          I will delete it and reboot to see if it helps.
