I've had some really sick kitties in my time and this often helps, mix tinned tuna (in water - NOT brine) with a little cubed brown bread and instead of milk offer water or Horlicks (warm malty drink).

We've got a stray that we adopted as a kitten and it's lived indoors with our two other cats for a year now and still hasn't warmed up to us much.
