However I don't call it professional when there are problems but the owner is just posting foolishness on a board instead of fixing it (though it is fixed now)

Shit happens. Allen is prolly not the tech for the company. The tech (prolly more than one) knew fairly quick I bet. Like a page when the servers were not reachable.

So while Allen may be a rich assshole full of himself, he no dubt had the base covered and should only be involved as an exception. Like when his tech department needs to be replaced.

After a few minutes, he should have gotten a phone call so he could do the marketing bit and explain the outage.

My host sends an email advising of an outage ASAP. They give advance notice if there is even a chance of an outage. Like when adding a routter or what ever. Software is available to page on events such as loss of service or DDOS.

So chill. I note that Lars didn't get shot down like this. Of course his ownline persona is different...

I know you guys are big, but personally I don't like your site design very much...it has text all over the place and seems to be geared to search engines more than to the user

However seeing as though it was only 10 minutes, I guess that's just one of those "hey it happens" things that come with the net and I can't blame DG.

Weird how I happened to just hit it in that 10 minute span though....and sinceit was a whois info issue, it was impossible for me to tell how long it was down...
