    I Am So Sick And Tired Of Waiste Case Webmasters And Industry Whores!!

    Man,

    I am really tired of guys who use these boards to act stupid rather than conduct businuss!

    "Hey who likes to wear Speedos or I feel like fucking the tailpipe on my VW"

    Why is it where you try and conduct businuss in a faceless industry which has only a few ways of getting in front of people, you get talked down on because you are a SPAMMER?

    The only way to get people to understand your product is to talk about it on the boards or advertise.

    Advertising isn't worth a shit on the boards anymore because there are 1000 programs out there who are doing the same. I noticed one thing the other day, I don't even see the ads on the boards any more.I have now gotten immuned to them, I have become desensitized to all the sponsors.

    I wish there was a way we can all conduct businuss on boards with out being talked down on because we are trying to provide a good service or a good, competitive product.

    I am going to be thinking about creating a board of this type where you can actually conduct serious businuss and charge a prime membership fee of $250.00 a year to weed out the idiots who don't care for the beauty of businuss..

    Maybe a virtual Internet based Internext type of a show that is live 24/7.

    I am fed up with stupid comments and not enough people conducting businuss.

    Just imagine how much bigger this already GIANT of an industry we would have been if the people in adult were not lurking and being stupid on booards and actually doing things with out taking years to do what can be done in 2 days.

    "I will get to it later" is the common attitude, FUCK THAT!!

    That attitude stinks, procastinators are weak ass fucking people.

    I have a bad-ass mother fucking program built for you all but you are too busy calling me a SPAMMER to take the time to see the benefits.

    I gaurantee you will see the benefits soon though.
    It is just going to take a long time before you see the beauty of our product.

    You guys will thank me later when you realize wtf I am talking about.

                                          Well one thing, all business board would be slow, colorful idiots make up the spice and infact make it easier to identify those with something decent to say. After a weekof seeing some one post ya get an idea of what they are kinda. It helps to a degree.

                                          Overtime ya get around to choosing who ya will read who ya wont etc...

                                          I have Many folks I would never click through to read.

                                                                                                      But with 50% of the people here probably sitting at home with little company they use the boards to socialise.

                                                                                                                                              I read this board everyday for up to 3 hours and read maybe one or two useful threads in a an entire three hour period.

                                                                                                                                              There was a "Strictly Biz" invite only forum on "another" board that was great it only got a few post a day but they were pure quality. I loved it for the 3 months it was online. Then Brad took it down without explination.

                                                                                                                                              I would be happy to participate/front money or whatever for a place to conduct business MINUS the "would you hit this", troll and Sig-whore threads.

As a source of ideas and fairly objective information, Andy Dunn's early newsletters were pretty good. But by '99 even they had turned into a spamfest.

Of all the thousands of sites operated by more or less well-known sponsors, maybe 30 are really focused on repeat business. The same goes for content providers, designers, hosting companies and the rest: the vast majority are in this business for the quick buck, and if it weren't so easy, most would vanish even faster than they do. If that's true of people who have at least invested some money and thought into the business, what can you expect from the average webmaster with just his PC and internet connection?

Sponsors offer cars as inducements to sign up with them, but don't answer emails if you want to take a look inside their sites. Flakey hosting companies rely on rock bottom prices and lack of technical savvy to pull in their customers. And on and on: all before you even start talking about the crap we dish up to surfers. Almost the whole industry operates on the same principles as those get-rich-quick schemes you see advertised on TV in the middle of the night.

                                                                                                                                                                                              Most people don't want to learn. If the money doesn't come as easily as they expected, they simply quit. A couple of days ago I cleaned out my bookmarks for the first time this year and close to half the designers I had listed were gone.

                                                                                                                                                                                              And a lot of the more obvious BS is deliberate. We have industry heroes who made it to the top in the early days, but have nothing new to offer and now only talk about their cars or however else they are spending their money. Pure BS, yet they go on catching webmasters who think they can do the same. Others are less obvious: they bring out version 5 of their programs with good-looking tours and a few beta testers to hype them. They won't sell better in the long run or retain any longer than versions 1 thru 4, but hey, pull in the sheep for a few months, version 6 will be along shortly. Others know that a loud, aggressive online personality will attract more business than quiet professionalism, because most of their audience has an attention span a gnat would sneer at.

                                                                                                                                                                                              Take all that away and maybe there isn't a whole lot left?

                                                                                                                                                                                                  A paid board is not a bad idea at all, if you want to do business in a professional enviroment part of the cost of doing business could be a business board.

                                                                                                                                                                                                  But, lets keep a board too for some fun, life is to short, this board is great for having a good time, and business is being done here just in a nice relaxed manner.
