to catch PR7 from a few blog backlinks, the blogs would need to be PR9-10.. unlikely. Not that google scores from this, but do a linkdomain:yoursite.com in yahoo, it shows a lot more backlinks than google's broken tool. also check it out in urltrends.com, it'll show an alexa/google/yahoo backlinks count.254342256Comment

shrug.. i'm not quick to call bs unless i know for certain. just that there are probably other factors at work here. i have a single page site that caught toolbar PR4 and google doesn't show any backlinks other than 5 of my own domains that are PR0. it must have got a link on one of my sigs somewhere, but google's link: tool doesn't show much of anything on a LOT of sites. and it serve's a benefit to webmasters, if you knew the entire offsite SEO strategy of a competitor, you could just plunk down $X and quickly ascend the ranks with/above them, taking advantage of all the research they've done. this doesn't apply so much in adult, since we know all of the linklists, etc.. but in mainstream, this is a huge deal.Originally posted by PussyTeeniessniff sniff.. smells bit like bullshit254342256Comment
