xBlogSpot Update - Free Hosted WordPress Blogs

    Hi there.

We have received very positive feedback from our beta testers. Now looking for more people to start a blog at xBlogSpot. If your "adult" blog got booted off blogspot, now is your chance to get your blog up and running again.

Your domain will be user.xblogspot.com - get a good sub-domain while you still can!

We have ported 31 WordPress themes to our system, and we are adding more daily. You can sample the themes at www.xblogspot.com (or http://test.xblogspot.com). If you don't see a theme you like, contact us at www.xdesignstudio.com for a custom design!

    Thanks.

      Thanks man, appreciate the support.

Just curious, did you guys develop that BoardPager software? Been looking for something exactly like this, it looks really great. Downloading a copy right now!

"There are currently 35 blogs on this server and 35 users."

Those are live stats for the inquiring mind.

4 of those blogs are mine (naturally the the most active until now), 6 of them are "test" blogs that we use for testing plugins and themes. The rest are users who have been invited to sign up from various message boards.

Ok I will ask the obvious question.

Aren't you concerned about Blogspot/Google having a problem with the name and you having to shut down?

Yes I have considered this, but if you do a search on blogspot you will see that Google does not really ever market their services as "Blog Spot" rather its called "Blogger". So I don't really forsee any problems.

Regardless we have backup domains that we can migrate/forward everyone to if all hell breaks loose: xblogzone.com, xblogsite.com. We also have freeblogspot.com, freeblogzone.com, freeblogsite.com for our mainstream endeavours.

who cares how they market it.. it doesnt change the fact that they're a huge huge company that can and will sue at the drop of a hat

before you let your blog host take off, you really should email google and ask if they see any problems.. if you didn't, it'd be really sad to build up a nice community and then have google send a nice C&D

                              nope, go nuts!

go ahead and grab up the good sub-domains while they are still available.

edit: just please actively keep posting in the blog so you are not simply "squatting" on the sub-domain.

Good luck keeping it. We already tried a few "adult" blogs on wordpress and they dump the accounts.

Isn't WP all dynamic? I would use movabletype to generate the static pages and reduce the server load.

Another reason to use www.xblogspot.com instead, we are using pretty much the same backend as those guys!

That would have been a great idea, wish you had mentioned that weeks ago.

And with blogs people mostly just write text right...? Right???

But ya it should be fine, we have a nice dedicated box running this network right now, which currently has very little load and nightly backups.
