48TH POSTOriginally posted by IntenseCash
We transferred our database twice. Certain processors have certain rules. One processor we transferred with we had to email each customer notifying them they would be billed by a different name. This is a disclosure that visa/mastercard set out and is supossed to be followed because it is written in their disclosure. So don't be surprised it you do move you may have to email each customer.

Still billing some of our customers and and not paying us.
We want to move our customers to another IPSP, and they are not responding our lawyers.
I guess keeping our database and our money is more important.
Looks like lawsuit time. I'll keep everyone posted.Comment

Plus they need the money.... good excuse don't you think
They are going 2 keep on doing what they are doing for as long as they can.... That money is the CEO's pay check

I thought I was the only one thinking that way...
I am not an attorney... but I sure have had my share of paying a few... and I would have to say that the place to start figuring out if a law suit is worth it is with the contract...

Man, I remember when everyone thought IBILL was the best, one of the most solid companies, will be "the last one standing". Look at them now... not paying, fucking around with every webmaster. Not replying to lawyers? Forget who's wrong and who's right, not replying to lawyers is just arrogant and stupid. It's getting shittier every day.
Im glad I never dealt with them.Sig for sale. ICQ: 163-545-054Comment

Sorry to burst your bubble, but you're wrong. As long as the banks, IPSPs, and card associations agree, this happens all the time. It has nothing to do with today's Visa/Mastercard, and I'm completely clueless as to where you keep coming up with this statement when people who are in processing continue to correct you.Originally posted by TonyL
Lets make sure we are talking about the same thing. You want to take the customers credit cards you have intially billed under IBill. And export this data to a new processor to process under another descriptor.
Essentially the customer has agreed to the terms of being billed under the descriptor name of Ibill and you want to change the agreement and terms to another company and account.
I do not think this is going to be possible "on the record" this may have been done in the backend without Visa/Mastercard directly knowing. But it's unlikely someone with your volume will go un-noticed with todays Visa/Mastercard.

Once again it's disturbing to see how many people seem to be hoping IBill becomes the failure that they think it will. Whether you're an IBill client or not, they're very important to the stability of this industry. If IBill goes down for good, we're all worse off, and we will all be in an even more precarious situation than before.I post on GFY so that when people ask me what I do,
I can tell them that I work with the mentally retarded.Comment

A week ago everyone was saluting them as they were beginning payouts. The only thing that has changed since then is the amount of panic in the herd.Originally posted by BRISK

I pray I wont eat these words, but I feel as long as Ibill has a pending bank contract they wont go anywhere. This contract is the fundamental difference between this situation and what happened with WSB and the others.Comment

I hope you're right. And there clearly is a difference with the Ibill situation. Unlike WSB or Globill which basically said goodbye overnight, Ibill really is fighting, and they're clearly doing their best to get things moving again. Time will tell.Originally posted by Shoplifter

If Ibill agrees to release the database and members are given advance notice, it's allowed.Originally posted by TonyL

How do you think your phone company increases their rates, or an internet provider changes their bandwith limits? What do you think happens when a company buys out another and changes the name?

Actually, from a contract and compliance perspective, members do not have to be given advance notice... their TOS more than likely states that they can be moved without notification and definitely without prior notification as long as the banks, the IPSPs and the card associations are in agreement with the move.Originally posted by psyko514
