Girls Gone Wild/Joe Francis - Untouchable?

Is Joe Francis the king of all real video? He was once the production assistant on the syndicated show Real TV. Joe noticed that a lot of what came in was too violent or risque for television, and in this cache of forbidden footage he glimpsed a big opportunity.

He spliced the footage together and marketed it under the title Banned from Television. It did $10 million in sales in one year.

Making the leap from severed limbs to bare breasts wasn't that difficult. The idea for Girls Gone Wild, which occurred to him when he saw documentary footage of young women vamping topless at Mardi Gras, was to show what "Real!" girls can be persuaded to do for fun.

"These were just ordinary people. It was reality. I looked around the marketplace, and there was nothing like it," Francis says. "It's every guy's fantasy--that the girl really wants to do it, she just needs to be talked into it."ild Videos. Girls Gone Wild grossed over 100 million dollars in sales last year.

Joe is brilliant and untouchable . It comes down to marketing , Even though his first few videos were mainly footage from gm video and AMX video and the quality was not good at all . He put it on late night tv next to stern and knocked it out in the hay day .
Dream girls was right up there with him running back to back commercials back in 2000 and that is what helped blow hem up as well .

Interesting... Will someone have the same success if they were to do it today? Not saying on his level, but a small slice of the pie. His look, marketing and who he hung out with (all perception) played a major part in his success

I believe the lawyers of some of those girls as well as the DA have already started touching him.

When I was 19 I managed a movie store in Mandeville and one day a woman came in and asked if our DM who worked in the same store as I did had taken down volume 6. Just as she finished asking my DM calls me and tells me that a woman would be coming in today and just do as she asked.

I took the video down and asked nothing of it, I just thought maybe we were giving in to some religious group or something, the woman was really nice to me and very appreciative of me walking over and taking it down so I had no problem doing it.

10 minuits later my DM calls me back and tells me the woman was the mother of a local high school girl of 16 that was in the video. We had noticed a huge jump in the rental of the video as well as more than a few attempts by under aged boys but thought nothing of it.

Last I heard they were going after him about having minors on his jet and some coke. He beat one reportidly but they were still pushing on the other, I think he made the minors charge go away.

There was no luck involved. He found a niche and blew it wide open. He also had BALLS. He put "daddy's little girl" on national tv licking her best friends box. He had daughters of govenors, teachers, mothers, wives, etc... It didn't matter, if they looked good they were going on. As for marketing and money, they helped but he would have got it done without them because he believed in what he was doing.

I Having Real Wild Girls have major respect of the guy .
