    Attention Seo Experts

If a term has an overture number of say 10,000 searches last month, who has a real example to make an equation to show how many hits this would produce for having #1 spot on se's for that given term.

Do you have a "Exit here - if under 18" link on your warningpage? Chances are you are linking to yahoo/google/disney etc. Those days are over, signup at www.warningpages.com to get PAID for this traffic that has been wasted by so many for years! icq#777970

There is no way that a #1 spot can guarantee you any clicks. but you should be able to expect 30%.

An example of how your #1 spot could give you shit results:

Suppose you have the #1 result for penis pills, and the text says "Penis Pills, $95.95 for a 30 day supply."

Now, if results 2-100 say "Penis Pills, $29.95 for a 2 month supply." or Natural Penis Pills. Full Guarantee or your money back. Only 10.95. Which would you click?

What you're asking is not possible to calculate. First off all, which search engine do you want an estimate for? Google, Yahoo, Altavista?? Next, the number given from Overture's tool is obscured by their match driver. The keyword includes misspellings, plurals and other variations in their count and we have no idea what the true number of searches for that term is so trying to estimate the volume from any other search engine is simply not feasible. You should use that number as a guage compared to other keywords. There is no hard and fast rule to multiple or divide to figure out the total potential on other engines. Lastly, even if you have the #1 spot, there are other factors that determine whether a surfer will click your listing or not.

You had an answer above and ignored it because it was obviously not what you wanted to hear. Maybe if Baddog failed Wireguy's post above will sink in.

I totally agree. SEO success is more about having that "smell" on where the right niche is. (Hope my english was right, its hard for me to translate...) It's like being on the bourse. A matter of 6th sense...
