Yeah Lens, Napigator kicks ass. It's strange though because it seems like for some reason the servers that they connect to have a lot let users on them nowadays. Does anyone know why ??? Last week, most of the servers would have 25-38,000 users with millions of files, now it's down to like 10K users per server. I think that they limited the amount of users on each server or something. It's still a great service and you still can use your Napster porgram, so it's the way to go.Comment

I'm guessing lots of people just quit using Napster thinking it's gone. What is this, about the tenth time it's been "shut down"? Everyday someone tells me what a shame it is Napster is gone.

and FYI: I can still DL from Napster BUT, I cant find ANY Madonna songs...so they are starting to filter shit out already.

I don't see the need to use Napster and mispell names of artists to get their tunes, that's too much hassle. If you get Napigator, you can STILL use Napster. The only differentce is when you open it up. You launch Napigator and pick a server from their list, which shows everything, how many users and files are on the server, just double click on it and BOOM, you're there getting files WITHOUT mispelling them, it's just like using the old Napster, but Napigator is MUCH faster, you can't beat that.
ALSO, in my comment yesterday, I said that the numbers on there were down a bit. Well, today they're back up there. It's going on 10am EST here and the server that I'm logged onto now has 17K users and 4.9 million files. As the day goes on, it should shoot up way up and there'll be a few million more files than that. I've never seen that many users and files on the regular Napster.Comment

My understanding is that Napster is forcing the record industry to provide proof of copywrite on each and every song they want blocked before they actually filter it out.You can probably still get stuff from a lot of low profile artists.Not to mention Napigator.Comment

there are numerous places to get stuff, just not legal friendly.
unless you want to get everything at itunes.com or pay napster for a half assed library that doesn't contain lots of what you are looking for.
newsgroups and torrent sites are the only destinations otherwise, unless you want to hit a network full of RIAA files and ghosts.Comment
