I read about this yesterday.
Don`t know what the WP guys are thinking really. $20k will get your link on a LOT of places, for a LOT more hits.
I remember they got in trouble with Google some time ago for hosting a bunch of SE spam pages for some people. (http://slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=0...196220&tid=217)
Looks like they are really desperate for money.

Most advertisers that use adbrite are living in a dream world. I liken it to the idiots that try to sell some shitty domain on ebay for 5 million dollars.

As an advertiser you have to go in and edit your dollar figures so the ppc is in line. I scoured adbrite and could only find a few people that knew how to price there shit right.

Have you guys ever seen those "surprise" domain auctions on Ebay ? Some guy tried selling 75 domains and wouldn't give out the URLs, he only said that a few of them were "high value". You wouldn't find out what you bought until you won the auction. PPL actually bid on it, don't know how much he got though.

Anyway, about the actual subject at hand, 20K per day on wordpress.org sounds like a get rich quich scheme to me. Loses a lot of credibility in my book...
I think a link on Yahoo.com for 20K per day is fair..but not on that damn site.
