but when talking about a free site - where the content is the galleries that are submitted daily - and the value comes from a mix of the return traffic and current traffic trades. The first two probably won't change if the owner sells the site.

Certainly, the owner' adds value with the third -
- the mix of free galleries vs advertisements
- AND it might be the mix of how many trades he starts a day
- which trades he accepts,
- what productivity he is looking for.

But these are things that are easily trainable.

I have boughten a few free sites - I would never pay more than 6 months profit.

certainly for Paysites - there are other valuable assets that should be considered (stockpile of content, email lists, etc.)
