That show gets better every week. The writers are awesome. Jason Lee is a kick ass actor. Kevin Smith really gave him the break he needed.

I planned on watching it every week when I seen the promos on TV and now that it is on, I have only caught one episode... looks good enough to try catching all the episodes, but I may just have to wait and download the series.

For those who haven't seen.

The show is about Jason Lee's character. Earl Hickey. Kind of a bum, loser, felon kind of guy. Shady as all hell.

He led a life of debauchery and crime. Had an epiphany when he won $100,000 on a lotto scratcher and was immediately hit by a car. Get out of the hospital and finds the ticket.

He saw Carson Daly talk about Karma and was moved by it.

Now he's spending the rest of his life making up for the shitty things he's done.

The first episode he helped a gay guy come out of the closet, the same kid he terrorized when he was growing up.

This show has built in longevity. As long as they stick to one good deed per episode they have about 10 full seaons worth of material to use.

The most unique show concept in a long while.

yeah, definately DVRable... good show. Catch the office after it -- very subtle/weird humor, but really hilarious if you watch it and see how funny the charachters are.

Other shows I Tivo are Arrested Development and Kitchen Confidential - FOX Mondays. good stuff.

If you put instant coffee in the microwave, do you go back in time?

I think the show has big time longevity. I said the same about South Park and even the Simpsons back in the day.

Some shows just have "it".

The show while it has a good message isn't innocent or Mickey Mouse.

It's a really funny show, original concept. Tuesday nights are 'couch' nights for us, we watch that and then The Office (laugh-out-loud funny).

I think the reason it will have longevity and be a classic is for the same reason that shows like Knight Rider and CHiPs, Dukes of Hazzard and Quantum Leap are classics. Each episode will have it's own flavor. The fact that they don't shoot most of it on a Soundstage helps too.
