There are two distinctive lines of pit. One is bred with mastiff to give the larger American or Bully pits and the other is on a pure terrier line and looks like Spud McKinsey the Budwiser dog. I would say you have a baby pit there, those paws are huge for a jack.

it looks to be at least part pitbull.

the pitbull is truly a sad story, all these idiots wanted mean dogs, bred them wrong. a lot of them turned into bad dogs, hurt people and now most people have a stigma about them. a good friend of mine breeds them, very nice ones, $3k+.

The Staffordshire Bull Terrier and the Pit Bull are two different breeds and should not be confused. Pit Bulls are much larger whilst the Staffordshire Bull Terrier are much smaller.
