OK... Traffic trading scripts judge bookmarkers in this manner:

LINK REL "SHORTCUT ICON" HREF "/cgi-bin/tm3/b"

(3 characters removed to pass GFY's filters)

Now... what this is doing is if someones browser asks for a favorite.ico file it counts them as a bookmarker.

Here is the flaw... Everyone who goes to your site and HAS NOT picked up a favorite icon will be counted... Bookmarkers would be the ones who DON'T get counted because they already picked one up the first time they came in!

So basically this thing is counting your NON-BOOKMARKER traffic?
