DRM wanted

I am not sure if there are any firms who offer DRM, but this is a suggestion to you. Something I would find of great use.

In the UK, to make ANY type of film, you have to put it thought the film sensors. |A cost of about £900 per hour ($500 ish). Plus a lot of hassle.

My ideal solution would be to sell the film on the net using DRM. So people can download it in full say from a USA server. They could say watch the first 5 minutes, then if they wanted to watch the rest, they would have to pay a one off fee for a password.

This would be an ideal solution to UK film makers (not just porn but any type of film).

I wonder if anyone offers this method.

What I would be looking for is a firm that would deal with the payments and of course take a small percentage, but then send me the money monthly.

We tried to do that with lot of tricks, but it seem we cant fuck to much with DRM.

If someone have a clue on how put the DRM check only after 5 min on a movie, let me know.

At very least, all I want is some way of letting people download film from the net and then having some way of them paying a single or yearly fee to watch it.

I do not want to spend money on setting somthing up. Just a simple solution.

Any firm who could do this will get lots from it (cash wise).

PlayaDRM

You can integrate any processor you want in the DRM window in a few sec.

By default you can use paypal/epoch with one click.

You can even do custum form, like the user need to enter a email or user/pass to see the video. Any kids can use their system to do what the fuck they want

They are REALLY easy and flexible.

Yes, that is a solution too.

I thought offer a few mins sample using flash then let them download the film.

Its just getting a decent payment system set up.

My ideal solution is that they can download the film in full, and save it to cd, even give it away to others, but using drm or somthing like that, if somone wants to watch it, they have to pay a small me (say $5).

Thats all I am after.

I will look into this.

But Only $99 per month puts me off. I would rather let them take a % each month. Think this way, if I make 20 films and sell them this way, then its going to get expensive.

I much rather have a firm set up the payments, take a small percentage, then send me a check each month.

In the long run the firm will be making for more cash, and it makes things simple my end.

Your spending about £8 per minute on getting a movie through the BBFC so a normal length film is gonna you about £1400 (around $2600). You wanna use DRM to cut this cost out but aren't prepared to spend a couple of hundred $$$ on a DRM service each month?
Thats surely still a hell of a saving isn't it?

"Mattyboy" (above) is a great resource for you and he is in the UK (see: www.onemanbanned.com) has great content and has a great feel for how DRM works.
