when questioned about it later, she lies, she maybe saved like 50-60k on the deal, and now she's serving 5 months - martha stewart of all people..
you cant even compare it to ken lay, his actions affected millions of people and their financial security.
this country is fucked up, its not about "making things right", its about "do the time" - they couldve fined her 10x the amount she saved and given it to charity, the SEC, etc, -- things like that make the world a better place....instead they lock her up.Comment

The prison is called "Camp Cupcake" by some because from the outside it looks more like a dorm than a jail. Inside is hardly luxurious. Martha shares a bunkbed in an area with 60 women 4 toilets 2 sinks and 1 blow dryer. Breakfast is toast and cereal, lunch is sandwiches and dinner is a (been reported starchy) hot meal. She will work 7.5 hours a day and is allowed no personal possessions outside of a religious item (if approved by the warden), a social security card, prescription glasses and a limited amount of cash they hold for her to use to buy personals from the commisary. She'll get a couple hours in the evening to play volleyball, basketball, or watch whatever the majority has chosen on TV.
I hope the next time some of you guys tell a lie someone sends you to federal prison for 5 months and you can come back and tell us how cushy it is

Now:

How was the sale of ImClone stocks tied with Martha Stewart Inc.? She was not involved with the promotion of ImClone, merely a stockholder. Is she using her name to promote every other stock in her portfolio? I don't think so, she has been very guarded in what the name Martha Stewart Inc. has been associated with. Her stock purchases/sales are her personal business, not done on behalf of the company.
