This is certainly an interesting situation. Paid spots, submitted galleries and freesites (404 them now - when they are very new - and you risk getting blacklisted), a high potential for a large number of chargebacks from pissed off members...
I don't know much about Epoch's system but from what I understand they have individual affiliate accounts like ibill, rather than merged like ccbill. This means that the affiliate account will no longer generate any new revenue due to the site shutting down completely... so how do Epoch balance the funds on an affiliate account that goes negative due to chargebacks? It's all going to fall back onto the master account owner.
I don't really understand why she has shut down the site so abruptly. Dormbucks still have their midwestmandi site going (presumably by contract) so her face is not disappearing from the net anytime soon. It looks like she's done shoots for others too which would also have had a release signed.
She could have closed the affiliate program and stopped accepting new members, but still allow existing ones to remain until they get sick of the stagnant members area. It's still not an optimal solution for webmasters who have links up to the site but at least it means that recurring income on existing signups isn't slit by the throat, and there's less chance of a bunch of chargebacks...

When I first entered this biz, I witnessed some amateur porn producers get mad when people started talking the business side of things with the talent.
I questioned them afterwards about it. They said, most of them are psychos and will freak out one day and decide they want all of the pictures taken down because their boyfriends end up finding them. Or the boyfriend will come knocking on their office doors and get violent. Usually the models know the url they are shooting for and they end up leaving a bookmark or it's in their cache. Boyfriends get nosey and find it.
After hearing that explaination, I understood how that side of shooting content works. Then over the years I've seen a few "talent" decide to try and run their own sites and programs. They still didn't get how the business works and ended up pissing off webmasters who tried to work their programs.
My heart goes out to Mandy because she's confused about what she wants in life and regrets doing what she did. My prediction is that she will break up with this boyfriend again and her "4 year degree" might not actually find her work in the real world. The first thing she'll think about doing once she needs the money and the boyfriend is gone is take her shirt off and start doing porn shoots. When she tries to become a site owner, she won't get approved from a processor due to past chargebacks and webmaster will never forget being screwed over.
So for Mandy's sake, I hope things really work out for her and she is happy. Hopefully she will never decide to come back to this biz as a site owner, being content will always be there for her should she need a few bucks. This sucks the most for the webmasters who are promoting her.
