    Is there a program you can make a full backup of your HD (on cd)

    And that will put them back on the HD when I format ?

          If you could do that it would be amazing.


          I think I have about 30 gigs used on this hard drive and this is my laptop. I think I have another 20+ on my desk top.

              I have over 160 gigs of video on my editing machine ... that dosen't count the software and all the other shit ... :P

                      ? Cloning a hd can only be compressed to a certain amount. Side note... Acronis True image is the best hd cloner.... wayyy better then norton ghost.

                        i just plug in a second hard drive and copy all the files onto it. much much easier.

                          you can't ghost that big of a hard drive onto a CD...it won't fit even with using "High Compression" feature on Ghost. you can create an image of your HD and place the image file to another HD.....


                          another option is to by those new external hard drives...Seagate makes them and a few others....with a backup software.
