Douglas should know: He's the attorney for Max Hardcore, whose video Max Extreme 4 was tried before a Los Angeles jury as obscene in 2002, in part because one obviously adult actress claimed on the tape that she was 12, which the L.A. city attorney argued was enough for jurors to find that the tape violated community standards.
They didn't agree, though, and
the trial ended in a hung jury reportedly split 6-6, with no retrial date in sight after more than 18 months. In the meantime, Hardcore's tapes continue to sell well - his current most popular line is Hardcore Schoolgirls - but Max is now more careful how his actresses are portrayed.
