I don't want to knock your site but I noticed a whole bunch of no-nos. There's nothing wrong with doing your own site, of course... and you're obviously capable of learning how. Just, for a quick start, get a pro.
On the flip side... There are advantages in not having your site look like everyone else's; If you stick with what you've got be sure to put your join link near the top where people can see it without scrolling down.
