Exactly. That's why I ask if it was her birthday. Because as a female, I know that creativity wins all. Flowers are something impersonal when used on holidays or birthdays and frankly some girls get insulted deep down.
BUT... try going into your backyard or somewhere outdoorsy where you've hung out together, find a cool rock, and have it shined up and made into a cool necklace.
