PS His mother commited suicide a month later.
When I was 5, I saw an old woman get cut in half by two cars which were overtaking parked cars at the same time (d'oh) and collided head on. She screamed and blood came out of her mouth. My mother hurried me away before I could see anything else but my father (who was an off-duty fireman at the time and hence stayed to help pry the two cars apart) told me about it a few years later. When the cars were pulled apart, she fell to the floor in three parts.
Then once when I was driving up the M1 motorway near London, I saw a motorcyclist with a squashed head lying in the road.
Two years later, I witnessed a traffic accident caused by a speeding woman motorist who wasn't wearing a seatbelt and who had her baby daughter in the car. The engine caught fire and I had a great time (not) trying to get them both out of the car before it was engulfed. The woman tracked me down a week later when she got out of hospital and rewarded me with 4 bottles of Stella Artois. It cost me alot more than that to replace my ruined suit. I should have left her to burn, the stingy bitch.
That same year, I ran over three squirrels on the road in the space of 5 minutes. That was the most disturbing experience of all, I can tell you. The little fuckers just wouldn't stop running across the road. Then later that year I ran over a hedgehog and a rabbit in the same night. Words don't describe how bad I felt about that.

Surprisingly, I didn't grow up to be a psychopath, although I do visit goregasm.com every once in a while to look at the rally crash videos.
